what ISO means to you

The ISO 9001:2000 standard develops a business culture focussed on customer satisfaction. The standard has specific requirements from the inception of an order, through the production process, to the final shipment and receipt. While ISO 9001:2000 is termed a 'Quality Management System', when blended into the production process, the two are inseparable-and that is the goal of the ISO 9001:2000 standard.
Vermont Precision Tools (of which Vermont Gage is a division) was registered to ISO 9002:1994 in January of 1999. We added ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2003 and will soon add ISO 17025 to our calibration laboratory. Our registrar, Intertek Services, audits us on a six-month cycle with the entire standard covered during the term of a three-year contract.
Maintaining our commitment to the ISO 9001:2000 standard allows our customers to have confidence in the manner that the company is run. They are assured an ISO 9001:2000 registered company in California is essentially run the same as an ISO 9001:2000 registered company in Vermont. By using ISO 9001:2000 registered suppliers, most companies are able to reduce their overall supplier database with confidence that consistency and quality will be maintained.

This is your assurance of the best quality possible.
